The Hippodrome de Boitsfort project proposes a regional public vision where city and forest meet in a harmonious intersection, where nature conservation and environmental education come together. 
The Government of the Brussels-Capital Region approved the revision of the project in early November 2020. The distribution of roles has also been reviewed: Brussels Environment is taking over the management of green spaces and the development of nature education. The Société d'Aménagement Urbain (SAU), which coordinates the overall development, will continue to restore the historic buildings. Drohme will continue to offer leisure activities for a fee, such as golf and mini-golf, and catering. On-site events will be subject to the direct or indirect control of Brussels Environment.
This decision should allow the redeployment of the renovation project, the activation, management and exploitation of the site in accordance with the objectives of the Regional Sustainable Development Plan (RSDP), the Regional Land Use Plan (RLUP) and the Structural Plan of the Forêt de Soignes.
